Wrapping paper is a bitumen carpet used in construction to seal it. It is basically a set of asphalt mix, plastic or rubber combined with polyester or glass for reinforcement.
To protect it from ultraviolet radiation, mechanics and static stress, its upper surface is covered with special mineral tiles of various colors, aluminum film, quartz sand and other materials according to the requirements of its construction and use.
It is applied by hot-melt. The cards are placed on terraces (and not only) so as to wet them – they are sealed so that rain water can not come into contact with the wall and penetrate it.
It is one of the most reliable solutions in the field of waterproofing, as long as the application is done by specialists in the field of insulation.
Asphaltic films are sealing sheets typically of 3-5 mm in thickness and available in roll form.
