Swedish redwood has a yellowish to blackish-red color. It is soft to medium hardness, moderately light, elastic and solid. It has good stability, it contracts a little, it is good for drying and is easy to process. The cross section generally gives oval roots.
% Contraction rate (1% change in moisture content in the direction of heart rays): 0.12 – 0.19% while in the direction of annual rings it is 0.24 – 0.33%.
Pine trees are harder and heavier than fir trees.

Widespread lumber with small, healthy and few deciduous roots, extensive cyanosis and few strains.
Quality U / S – Unsorted
Excellent pine, without diametrical stretch marks. Few, small and healthy knots, or limited cyanosis are allowed.
